The “state of the art” challenge

The client had highly technical inventions that were state-of-the-art, and therefore proved difficult to find prior art references. They needed a partner who could conduct comprehensive patentability searches that could identify potentially relevant prior art before they invest in the patent application process. The client also required that each search be completed within a tight deadline. Our team was able to provide the client with comprehensive patentability searches that identified key prior art references. We were able to deliver the reports within the prescribed deadline.

The output consisted of detailed technical mapping charts and an additional summary section that described in detail the level of relevance of the references and how each item relates to the important elements of their invention. This particular “summary” is an added feature designed specifically for the client.
