Nate Lin is a patent attorney registered in Taiwan, helping companies and innovators protect and leverage their inventions across Taiwan, the U.S., China, and other international markets. He specializes in developing practical IP strategies that transform complex technologies into strong, enforceable patent portfolios.
Nate also held a long-standing role as a Senior Patent Attorney at Lee and Li, one of Taiwan’s leading IP law firms. There, he drafted patent applications in Chinese and English across diverse fields including mechanical devices, software, e-commerce, electronics, automation, robotics, semiconductors, bicycles, footwears, and consumer products. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in IP disputes, including patent invalidation and appeal proceedings before the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office, as well as patent infringement litigation before the Taiwan Intellectual Property Court.
He served as Senior Manager at Leaven Intellectual Property Management Consultancy in Taipei, where he led paralegal teams through all phases of U.S. patent prosecution. He also helped large corporate clients achieve compliance with Taiwan’s Intellectual Property Management System (T.I.P.S.), ensuring their innovations were protected and regulatory obligations met.
Earlier in his career, Nate gained U.S. experience as a Patent Agent, working at several IP firms including Rabin & Berdo, Maschoff Brennan, and Grossman Tucker. In these roles, he supported patent prosecution, drafted office action responses, conducted prior art searches, and analyzed litigation documents. He began his IP career as a Patent Engineer at Taiwan Advance Patent & Trademark Office, specializing in Chinese and English patent drafting and prosecution.
