This patent describes a digital media communication protocol that enables media files, such as photos, videos, and music, to be securely transferred between portable devices and computers over a network. It establishes a communication link between media terminals and media nodes, allowing users to access, share, edit, and manage digital content across devices, including in environments protected by network security measures such as firewalls.
